The 2023 Honors Ceremony Weekend was a fantastic opportunity to uplift excellence in South Dakota, by honoring 10 extraordinary individuals who have achieved excellence and have made our state a better place through their life’s work.
Over the weekend we honored Dr. Robert Arnio (Medical), Bruce Bad Moccasin (Business), Walt Bones (Agriculture), Dr. Thomas “Tom” Dean (Medical), Dr. José-Marie Griffiths (Education), Dr. Pamela Homan (Education), Gary Mule Deer ( Arts & Entertainment), Larry Rohrer (Arts & Entertainment), Hani Shafai (Business), and Adam Vinatieri (Sports).
Their induction is just the first step in honoring and sharing all they have accomplished. Their stories are archived, digitized, and shared through the South Dakota Hall of Fame’s unique programs to inspire and motivate young people, especially in helping them understand their own potential.
