2022 Honors Ceremony Brunch
The South Dakota Hall of Fame was founded in 1974 in Fort Pierre, and in 1996 the State Legislature designated the Hall as South Dakota’s official Hall of Fame.
Our mission is to Champion a Culture of Excellence in South Dakota. We are called to honor and inspire South Dakotans through a collection of inspiring content and programming. As we realize our mission through these programs, by design, we encourage others to Chase Their Dreams.
Our Inductees’ legacies make up the core of our mission, and every year we bring public recognition to South Dakotans who have chased their dreams and achieved prominence. Our Board of Directors select (up to) ten new extraordinary individuals for induction into the South Dakota Hall of Fame and as an organization, we honor them at our annual Honors Ceremony weekend.
We do all of this as a nonprofit organization, relying solely on the support of generous donors who believe in our mission to champion a culture of excellence in South Dakota. The Honors Ceremony serves as our largest fundraising event of the year, with ticket sales going to support the yearly operating expenses of our organization.
Without the support of so many amazing individuals and organizations who share our dream, we would not be able to inspire the youth of South Dakota to see the potential of their own excellence. This is why we are excited to invite organizations and individuals to sponsor our annual Honors Ceremony in a myriad of ways.

An organization, individual, or group of friends may come together to honor an Inductee, with special recognition based on your sponsorship level. When selecting this option please include what Inductee you wish to honor when giving online, by mail, or by phone.
